Buenos Aires, Argentina, ECU — Tigre overcame a significant possession deficit to defeat Racing Club in a second-half explosion at Monumental de Victoria, with all four goals arriving in the final half-hour of play.
The match remained scoreless through the opening period before erupting into life after the hour mark. Tiago Serrago broke the deadlock in the 61st minute to give the home side the advantage. Racing Club responded through Gabriel Rojas in the 80th minute to level the contest at 1-1.
The final ten minutes belonged entirely to Tigre. Ignacio Russo restored the lead in the 85th minute before the hosts added two more in the 89th minute through Alfio Oviedo and Gonzalo Martínez to seal the comprehensive victory.
