Amadora, Portugal, POR — Gil Vicente snatched a dramatic point in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, as Rodrigo Rodrigues converted deep into stoppage time to cancel out a frantic second-half comeback from the home side.
Murilo de Souza gave the visitors the lead twice, opening the scoring in the 14th minute and restoring Gil Vicente's advantage in the 35th. Estrela responded both times, with Jovane Cabral leveling in the 29th before the match exploded in the second half.
Jovane Cabral struck again in the 54th minute to draw Estrela level a second time. Then, in a remarkable 67th minute, Rodrigo Pinho and Abraham Marcus both found the net for the home side within moments of each other, turning the match on its head and putting Estrela ahead for the first time. Santi García pulled one back for Gil Vicente in the 69th, and Rodrigo Pinho added a fifth goal of the match in the 83rd, restoring Estrela's two-goal cushion — or so it seemed.
Rodrigo Rodrigues had other ideas, converting in the 90+6' to complete a stunning Gil Vicente recovery and deny Estrela what would have been a memorable victory.
