Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago — Philadelphia Union cruised to a commanding victory over Defense Force FC in Concacaf Champions Cup play, with five different scorers contributing to the dominant away performance.
Milan Iloski opened the scoring in the 29th minute for the visitors. Defense Force FC briefly responded through Joevin Jones in the 31st minute, but Ezekiel Alladoh struck in the 32nd minute to restore Philadelphia's advantage before halftime.
The Union pulled away decisively after the break. Stas Korzeniowski found the net in the 41st and 56th minutes to extend the lead. Olwethu Makhanya added another in the 64th minute before Bruno Damiani capped the scoring with goals in the 69th and 81st minutes.
Philadelphia dominated possession and created significantly more chances throughout the match. The Union's attacking pressure resulted in nine shots on target compared to just one for Defense Force FC.
